About this deal

Each box contains enough scenery to populate a Kill Zone battlefield or can be used to expand your selection of terrain for larger games of Warhammer 40k. Sprawling over countless Imperial worlds, the landscapes known as Sectors Mechanicus are tangled mazes of pipes, conduits and heaving machinery. I’m kind of a sucker for campaign and narrative content – if not to actually use then to pilfer for my own campaigns – and I was interested to see if this book did anything new or interesting with the Killzones concept.

Beside the suggested cross like shape of the product image, there are a couple of different options to align the pieces. I had to add the comparison with the Primaris Space Marine so you get a feeling for that huge stack of frames you get for that money. Likewise Kill Team already has too many damn tactics to manage and remember and adding a dozen more for each Killzone doesn’t make things better. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. The transition is well done, the colours are slightly off, but that is normal with prints in that numbers. The valves have the same size as the pipelines from the thermic plasma conduits and could be used to connect two or more pieces of terrain. Included are enough components to build an Alchomite Stack (a series of chimneys evoking the thick, acrid atmosphere of industry), a Ferrotonic Furnace (an enormous silo filled with toxic chemicals – or worse) and 2 sets of Plasma Conduits. But as mentioned multiple times before, you can extend and connect these pieces rather freely and mix in the pipelines from the thermic plasma conduits. As you can see, you can mix the dome structure along with a chimney from the Alchomite Stack to build larger terrain piece.

Kill Team has a pretty complicated ruleset for a game that’s supposed to take an hour and it already has a number of things that players either forget or just don’t do in games, such as the Scouting phase (which is completely removed in Arena and competitive play). An 8-page booklet describing the Sectors Mechanicus, with an example of a fully-painted scenery set. The Sector Mechanicus Killzone Environment is an expansion for Kill Team in the packed box, youll find a gameboard, scenery, and exclusive rules that use the unique nature of Sector Mechanicus terrain to introduce dangerous new missions and powerful effects to your games. We will resolve the issue by sending you replacement items or parts wherever we can and prefer to do this rather than provide a refund. Without these rumbling furnaces and smog-belching chimneys, the ceaseless war industries of Humanity would stall, and the armies of the Imperium of Man – shorn of materiel reinforcement – would fall to the xenos and the heretic. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

This is a common issue I have with GW’s attempts at making battlezones/killzones/battlefield effects and it’s present here. But that is not all, as mentioned above, this is not simply a discounted terrain bundle, this is a Kill Team Killzone supplement, covering a double sided thick card board gaming mat and additional gaming material, like an environment chart for the Sector Mechanicus, 4 new scenarios using the terrain from this kit and 12 new tactic cards. These are over the ground pipelines for plasma, what you can see below is included two times in the box. Included are enough components to build an Alchomite Stack (a series of chimneys evoking the thick, acrid atmosphere of industry), a Ferrotonic Furnace (an enormous silo filled with toxic chemicals or worse) and 2 sets of Plasma Conduits. As mentioned above, the Sector Mechanicus can be mixed with the Sector Imperialis, due to the same size. I decided to add the thinner pillars to the shorter tiles and stronger ones, with the heavier bar at the bottom for the long parts.
