About this deal

In this mediocre erotic romance that lacks both passion and intimacy, the events of Fifty Shades of Grey are retold from Christian Grey's perspective, allowing readers to see inside the mind of the enigmatic, domineering businessman as he seduces and falls for college student Anastasia Steele. However, these characters intrigue me considerably, for reasons I can’t quite get a handle on, but I think it has to do with the potential for depth in these characters. He represents the quintessential broken and reclusive billionaire who is incapable of a standard relationship or love. Christian Grey’s candid narrative gives the familiar story a raw, passionate and much sexier context . Christian may be dictatorial and brash, but this tells the story of a boy and teen who suffered from abuse and grew into a man whose self worth had been beaten down. Una parte de mí pensó que tal vez la autora innovaría, PERO NADA, es la misma novela, con alguna que otra escena nueva. In that respect their story is a modern version of the classic fairy tales, such as a modern Cinderella story – or perhaps Beauty and the Beast would be more appropriate. Us ladies thanked her for “letting the cat out of the bag” and wondered how on earth we’d managed to get by since the subject seemed to be such a taboo one. He always enters into contractual agreements with the women so there are never any misunderstandings. I think getting to see Ana the way Christian seen her was also great because it not only made Ana more Personable, but it made Christian seem more real.

Combined with the power he has amassed, that makes him dangerous, especially to someone like Anastasia. You find a little bit out about a few of the other 15 as well which is interesting as I certainly wondered what had happened or why they had parted.Since confessing them face to face with Christian could perhaps be the cause for his ire, she's wisely treads softly by texting him. However, I would have loved to have been surprised, to have seen an improvement in James’s writing skills. He was so lost during his youth that he even contemplated suicide, but didn't because he knew just how much that would have devastated Grace. When I finished Fifty Shades Freed, the POV chapters at the end made me want to devour the books all over again. Of course, we were likely to encounter the same scenes and outward displays of affection in both books, considering they mirror each other to a certain extent, but we do not get enough exposure to Christian’s true feelings which is what I was hoping for as a reader.
