About this deal

DOT Marc Jacobs is a lush juicy floral fragrance, blending a sparkling top of dragonfruit, a floral heart of jasmine and an addictive trail of vanilla. I know I love a perfume when I can’t stop smelling my wrist, when it’s addicting and I can smell it in the air and on my clothes. The crazy part was when we went to the food court to grab dinner, and the cashier exclaimed that whatever perfume I was wearing was so pretty.

Perfumes are not “age appropriate” in my opinion, if you like Poison and you’re 15 or Candy even if you’re 50, go for it (just don’t bathe in it, perhaps…) as perfume is a personal experience, not for the people around you. Red berries and exotic dragon fruit set the tone for Mark Jacobs’ sweet and enticing Dot perfume, which also includes a hint of honeysuckle. tropic sugar - femininity is not defined by a fondness for cutesy objects and a dislike of patchouli-based scents. Its best quality is that it could be for an older crowd thanks to the floral heart, which is rare for fruity scents.A very fruity and aquatic perfume, perfect for the summer/spring, non headache inducing, if you’re a fan of juicy red fruits, it’s definitely for you, to me it smells like a fruit smoothie. Anyone can wear this, it's very light and slightly sweet without feeling like I just stuffed my face in a bag of jolly ranchers. Coconut water rather than actual coconut is very present in this on me, which paired with the pithaya gives a very mouthwatering effect. I had wanted it since I was in High School (that was 7 years ago), but back then I didn't have the funding to make this purchase. It smells youthful, the perfect amount of sweet and fruity, and just gives off "living my best life".

Despite the fact that Dot is obviously mass-marketed to a young, mid-market demographic I really, really love this! That being said, I've seen a few people who are really angry about this comparison, perhaps because they don't quite understand that similar does not mean the same. My 4 year old niece loves the bottle and is waiting for me to finish up the fragrance because she wants the bottle. As a side note, the placement of the "petals" on the sides of the spherical bottle made it quite awkward to hold and spray.I’ve had this since senior year of high school and I always try to find it and repurchase it when I run out. Lasting power is not that great and I can barely smell the base notes but the top and middle notes do it for me. When I first spray it on, I get a whiff of strong fruity florals, very clean and refreshing, a bit strong and heavy at first.

I have 100+ niche samples for swap within Europe - updated spreadsheet of samples on my profile, get in touch! Update: having worn this a few times I've decided it doesn't really work with my skin chemistry, it's too floral for me too and after awhile I find it a bit much. Honey is the sister baby sister who is still young enough to play games in the back yard and drink Hawaiian Punch and Tang. I usually go for woody, vanilla, oriental kind of scents I stay away from floral scents since they give me headaches but for some reason I like this.

It lasts a long time, carries well without being overbearing AND I have received a compliment every day that I have worn this.

My opinion is that any age group can wear this perfume it is just so refreshing and fairly long lasting. Sometime during the day I kept getting whiffs of what reminded me of my boyfriend whom I’m in a long distance relationship with (I hadn’t seen him in a few months which is why it was particularly odd to smell it). My only complaint is that the flacon design feels just a tad tacky and awkwardly shaped, and Honey, Daisy and Dot are taking up too much room on my dresser. How to use: Hold the fragrance approx 5 inches away and spray your skin, focusing on pulse points (neck and wrists). There’s a hint of coconut in the middle notes you can catch, and it flows well with the fruit and flowers (does not overpower). It should put her at ease, rather than wearing big complicated classics and if nothing else at least she will have a nice bottle to show or compliment her room. Marc Jacobs is a PETA certified cruelty-free brand; they do not test any of their products on animals. A delicate, fruity, white floral [that I would almost describe as aquatic or ozonic] drying down into a soft vanilla musk. Considering that my shelves are currently quite crowded, in this case I decided to try a sample first.
