About this deal

years ago there weren’t very many good water-based paint products available. However, I think like diesel cars, oil-based paint is slowly being phased out. Regulations on the chemicals that manufacturers are allowed to use in paint gets tighter year on year.

The product doesn’t sag or run too much, so you can get away with being generous. It goes for miles too! Another plus point is the finish; The colour is a proper brilliant white which looks awesome!! Oh, and WRX satinwood is it is tough!! I mean very tough!! You can have every confidence the finish will stand up to scuff marks and constant cleaning. Satinwood – This has a sheen level of around 40% and is by far my favourite water-based paint finish to use on woodwork. Brilliant White satinwood looks Brilliant White, and it can look very sharp on skirting boards and other trim. You also get a sense of ‘soft luxury’ from this paint finish, that gives me great job satisfaction every time I use it. It can be applied with either a paint brush or a foam roller, and getting a smooth surface with no streaks or drips is easy, even for beginners. Although it should always be applied in a well-ventilated area, it has a much weaker odour than other oil-based satinwood paints. Satinwood paint has risen in popularity over the last few years. Its medium-sheen gives a more contemporary look to doors, windows and skirting boards than traditional gloss paint. Most satinwood paints are also a great choice if you’re looking to paint a radiator or any exposed metal pipework, and can even be used on kitchen and bathroom walls. Satinwood paint is great if you’re looking to achieve a mid-sheen finish. It is commonly used for interior painting because of how durable it is. Satinwood is a very popular choice for painting window sills and skirting boards because it keeps bright colours looking radiant for longer than other paint finishes whilst being more hard-wearing than emulsions. If none of those work we’ve heard crazy tales of people cutting an onion in half and leaving it in the room although I wouldn’t be able to say whether that works or not! Can you get Dulux Satinwood in white instead of Pure Brilliant white?

WRX Trade Water-based Satinwood Paint complies with the EU limit values (cat.A/d) for VOC emissions, set at 130 g/l in 2010.This is a no-brainer. Painting your stairs with slippery paint can result in serious injury or worse. Therefore, it’s imperative that you choose a paint that has great slip resistance. Further to this, I would always recommend using anti-slip tape or a stair runner for added safety.

Stir the paint well before use; it is ready for use, but if thinning is required, add a maximum of 5% clean water. The short answer is, ‘yes’, but there are a few caveats. Gloss, particularly oil-based, goes very hard over time, and develops a sort of film. This can make it difficult to get other paint products, including satinwood, to adhere to it.WRX Door&Trim will cover approximately 14-18 square metres per litre depending on the surface. DRYING TIME This is a fully water-based satin / semi-gloss paint designed for use on interior trim. Available only in white. WRX Trade Satinwood Paint does not yellow over time, maintaining the integrity of your wooden surfaces. Typically, for a project such as painting stairs, I wouldn’t recommend budget options. With that being said, WRX Trade’s Satinwood is about as good as you can get without having to stretch your purse strings too much. Eggshell – Eggshell has a sheen level of around 20% and is often more durable than matt. It looks like it has a “dull sheen” if that makes sense, so “Brilliant White” wood never quite looks very sharp. However, it is still a very popular finish in a lot of homes and is probably the most popular finish to use on painted kitchen units.
