About this deal

The love between Kazi and Jase was so alive and real. You could feel it, hear it, see it in everything they said and did, and I loved that .

A LOT MORE POLITICAL intrigue and scheming happened in this book. It definitely kept me interested to keep reading and see how these characters would get out of all the impossible situations they were thrown in to The writing was incredible! It was so descriptive I literally felt like i was watching a movie through the papers. the world building of the story was so cool and unique. The plot was so good. Everything was just perfect <3 p.8 • "It helped me see myself better—the impossible choice of a fleeting moment—the regrets we bury deep within us, the things we would do differently if only we could have one more chance, if only we could rewind a moment like a card of yarn and weave it into something else… One different choice might have changed everything."The Ballengers have a small landmass they have been occupying since forever Ancients' times. I love the way mary e. pearson writes, it’s so detailed yet not overwhelming, it’s simple yet holds so much, it just has me entranced with every word. hands down one of the best fantasy series I’ve read :D. Kazi and Jase will have to work together if they want to stay clear from the slave laborers and get to the next town which is some hundreds of miles away. So they walk barefoot and chained a great distance.

Pearson (the Jenna Fox Chronicles) is off to an extraordinary start with her fantasy series, creating an alluring world and romance that's ideal for fans of Kristin Cashore and Megan Whalen Turner." — Publishers Weekly, starred review The enemies - lovers - enemies - lovers - enemies - lovers trope should have become tiresome but instead it was so carefully plotted and interwoven with the books political storyline that it felt integral to the book and very well done. choose your words carefully, even the words you think, because they become seeds, and seeds become history.” Yes, I want to kiss you,Jase Ballenger. Not for show or to make the best of it. I want to kiss you because I want you, every part of you, even the parts that infuriate me beyond telling, because you’ve infected me with a poison that I don’t want to flush out, because you’re a mad viper twisting around my middle, cutting off
